QantasLink flies daily from Melbourne into Devonport Airport. Flying time is 1hr 15mins. Upon arrival in Devonport, Boat Harbour Beach is 55 minutes by car. Regional Express (REX) flies daily from Melbourne to Burnie/Wynyard airport. Flying time is 1hr 10mins. Upon arrival, Boat Harbour Beach is just 15 minutes away by car.

Traveling by sea

Spirit of Tasmania Ferry

Why not pack up the car and sail to Tasmania? Spirit of Tasmania sails nightly across Bass Strait between Melbourne and Devonport. The ships depart from each port at 8pm arriving at 7am the next morning. Additional day sailings run during peak periods. Travellers can choose from a range of accommodation options aboard Spirit of Tasmania, from cabins to cruise seats. There are also a variety of dining options, bars and entertainment on board. Upon docking in Devonport, Boat Harbour Beach is 45 minutes west by car.

By car

Boat Harbour Beach is easily accessed by car via the Bass Highway. The township is located just 183km (2 hours) from Launceston, 30 km (30 minutes) from Burnie and 340 km (4 hours) from Hobart.
